Why bamboo toothbrushes?
Plastic brushes find their way into the oceans, destroying marine life and the planet decades after it is discarded. Bamboo toothbrushes are a sustainable alternative to plastic brushes. They disintegrate in just six months.
Of course, they clean just as well and last just as long as normal plastic toothbrushes.
What are the bristles made of?
As the only biodegradable option is boar hair, we decided to use nylon bristles on our toothbrushes. We love animals as much as we love the environment, so using boar hair was an absolute no-no. We have been experimenting with other types of bristles, but no other material lasts long. While we continue to find a sustainable alternative, your ideas would be highly appreciated.
How is chopping bamboo any different from chopping trees?
Rusabl brushes are made from Moso bamboo, which is one of the fastest growing plants. It will regrow by the time you dispose of your bamboo toothbrush.
