Why do we need more eco friendly products

What are eco-friendly products? Let’s understand the definition first.

‘Eco-friendly means earth-friendly or not harmful to the environment. This term most commonly refers to products that contribute to green living or practices that help conserve resources like water and energy. Eco-friendly products prevent contributions to air, water and land pollution. They also are a better choice for our body because they are made out of materials that are natural and are provided to us by nature in abundance’

Eco friendly products typically use less energy during their production. A product can in fact only be truly earth friendly when the whole manufacturing process is structured in a way that every step uses renewable and natural sources of energy like solar or wind and saves electricity by using energy saving devices. The reason why organic materials are considered eco-friendly is also because their production uses less energy and saves a lot of water.

Natural materials

Eco friendly products are usually made of materials that come from the earth and can easily decompose back in the soil when discarded. Today most non eco-friendly products use materials that are made out of fossil fuels like polyester, plastic because they it is really inexpensive to produce. But with innovation and technological advancements organizations are now figuring out different ways to recycle these materials and reuse them. When a product is made keeping planet in mind it does not end with just the product but also the packaging of the product is made in a way that is environmentally friendly and can easily biodegrade when thrown away. You will often see products packaged in paper, cloth, discarded materials or anything that is not harmful like plastic and is reusable.
